BITTER SWEET

I woke up one morning with a thought for myself and suddenly, I realised it had been a long time since I thought about me. No kids, no man, no job; Just me. But, beneath the shades in the darkness lifes scars remained covered. .
The light revealing the damage; All the rippled lines and the garish colours that shaped my aura and my humanity. .
Those were the things I didn’t want to see, the multitude of scars I kept shaded from humanity.
.
I had survived those scars: Each time my blood shed I revived; Each time I woke I was alive; Scarred, mishapen but living. Growing and still giving. .
So I painted those scars in living colour , bold for all to see that flaws and all.
.
This is me…
