The Mothers Meeting

About tonight, We were on a roll
Without no kids in toll
We forgot the drama
Forget the bills, it was straight no chill
For one night we were going to young again
No other label but old friend.
Repeating old stories once again
We travelled through the town
Apologies to the DJ its about to go down.
We were swallowed by the music under a dissapearing moon
We stay put until the very last tune
Finally settled in a cab two by two
Re energised for the monthly dues
stepping indoors minus the shoes
After tipping the sitter I move
Showered, well groovy
Crawling beneath the duvet at least an hour will do me
Until the sweet sounds break through;
“Mummy, where are you?”
